Women In My Family
Women in my family,                                                      there were few but they had great hospitality.                  My aunt was the best cook ever,                                      so delicious never like shoes leather.                                One day we tried cooking fresh crabs,                              until they came out of the bags.                                      Then into the hot water they went,                                   cooked and added butter for a hot butter scent.                Each summer I would stay for a few weeks,                      we would go shopping for blush for my cheeks.                I always hated to leave,                                                  I would cry on my blouse sleeve.                      I will always cherish each fun day,                                    my aunt was like a bright sun ray.     Date Written: 6/14/2022 3 Place Women in my family Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Sotto Poet
