The Light
Quote By Poet: "Some pets are people in fur coats" I had a calling, I knew I must leave my home. Where was I going, the light in me must lead my way. I walked for days, down the streets and by the highway. I came across a huge backyard, I was limping through the soft green grass. A little girl came running over to me, she was talking sweetly. Then she reached out with her little hand, gentle rubs fell upon my head. The pain in my paws was almost unbearable, with each step I thought I could not go on. As we walked to the backdoor she saw I was limping, at the door she told me to stay. She opened the door and starting yelling, her dad came rushing to her aid. Strong and gently he scooped me up, into the kitchen we went. As I lay on the floor, my paws were being cleaned and bandaged. The little girl kept talking softly as she rubbed my head, I could feel her love everywhere. Her dad scooped me up into his strong and gentle arms, the three of us were off. My new bed made from clean warm blankets, the garage was now my new home. The little girl was crying as she rubbed my head, her dad was pulling her away. She needed to go into the house, I needed to rest. My journey had ended by the light, as I had walked my paw pads off. I now knew why it all happened, this little girl really needed me.
