Troubled
You ask why I focus on troubled thoughts I guess I'd say that because that makes up the majority of what I see It's very confusing, this is the best time to be alive And yet it seems to bring out the worst in humanity Beginning with me, they say my observations are too negative That I don't allow much room for hope I don't recommend meditation or prayer Or, that my position is taking away our ability to cope You see I advocate personal responsibility Build up our weaknesses so we can be strong All studies show this increases self-esteem Is this negative? Am I wrong? I'm also an advocate of suffering I believe people need a little pain to create change But we have to temper our emotions to not react So we don't rush in and eliminate the gains For me troubled thoughts are a wakeup call They provide a chance for me to reflect and refine I realize, nobodies going to do it for me in this life I'm responsible, and thankful for the opportunity because Im alive So, what I write is my unique perspective It's not how I feel, it's an observation of what I see I'm very sorry if my perspective bothers you I think it's nothing more than choosing to live in reality
