The Mirror of Life
All mirrors will reflect what is put before them. So, go on and say it loud and clear without fear. "Mirror mirror on the wall. Who's the greatest of them all?" The mirror of life has neither judgments to render nor opinions to give. She has neither questions to ask nor answers to provide. Her greatest gift is to deliver to you exactly what she sees. If mirrors were a science, she would have no theories. She would be an exact science without 'make-believes'. There are no dreams and fairytales in the Mirror of Life. In the mirror of life, there are long nights and good and bad days. In the mirror of life, there are thrills and chills, victories and defeats. The mirror of life unveils frivolous friendships, hurtful divorces, broken toys. The mirror of life reveals shattered dreams, nightmares, and wounded hearts. In my mirror of life stands a host of 'people' most cherished and treasured. She will portray things that could have been, both real and unrealized wishes. In the mirror of life are expressions like, 'if I had only, I can't, and I can'. There are second and sometimes third chances with occasional free passes. There are mysteries and miseries, break-times and time-outs, but no guarantees. The mirror of life will show much more good than bad, more glad days than sad ones. We must also remember that the mirror of life is not a 'window of life'. She may show what is and what used to be, but never what's going to be. Unlike mirrors, whose backs are darkened, windows are not designed to reflect but to see through, to receive light, to reveal something beyond and 'out there'. More often, in the windows of life, there are worlds of things beyond our control. On the other hand, there is much more control of what is revealed in the mirror of life. In the mirror of life, one can expect to see the reality of what has been as well as 'the now'. However, unlike our omnipotent God, we are presently observing our mirrors of life 'imperfectly'.* 050222PSCtest, In The Mirror Of Life, Anoucheka Gangabissoon. 1P *1 Corinthians 13:12, NLT: Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.
