Can anyone understand what he really needs? There could be chances of him, being seen as antiquated How painful, it is to watch dear ones falling dead one by one Won’t he feel crest fallen when he can’t mix with men of his age? An endless life on this strife ridden world, most of us would shun I am sure one who is immortal may feel perpetually shut in a cage Time without halting, drags him on and on to eternity Months and years will hang on him like crushing weight Sure he will be treated like an existential absurdity How miserable life would be for one without an expiry date In the eternal flux of life, I don’t want to be ever on the move Being pushed in and out of time will be a terrible bore. It would be like a rolling stone knocked off by every passing wave Death may scare me, but immortality scares me even more!
