Wrinkles
Upon my face, I bare wrinkles of this life They emerge like ripples on the surface of a pond Caused by a pebble or a breeze, hardships worn The stone weighs down, buried deep! And yet those smiles like a breeze, settle on this face with ease This journey now etched on my skin, from my neck down to my feet Each wrinkle tells you a story, some are glad and some are gory So many ups and downs in life, caused by smiles and frowns I see those wrinkles and take them to task, how did time fly by so fast? My life now set in wrinkles cast! I prefer the ones that came from smiles A raised eyebrow to see for miles A ripple around my mouth, pointing up! I wouldn’t remove any, I wear them with a lot of pride I could always add one or two, to my life’s ebbing tide! 4.4.22 Contest: A BRIAN STRAND PREMIERE CHOICE SPONSOR: Brian Strand
