Who has ever granted you brutes the false right to play with men, To deprive them of their short lives in war, with sanction, or coup? You are endowed by men themselves with your savage worldly power To batter them in sheer dismay, to make them moan, weep, and rue. They elect clowns, dealers, or spies, or mere fraudulent lawyers And politicians since they are their own mirrors. It's quite true! They would need God-fearing scholars to rule their lands if they knew. Bloodshed goes on with these rulers who worldly playthings pursue.
