Internal Wants
I write with such passion, but I’m still just a girl, A simple girl with a want in this world, And sitting here now, I don’t know how I achieved, Wanting the one thing I’ll never need, The thoughts and notions of us, Is not one I’m sure I trust, And sitting here now, it seems right, To want to walk away from the fight, Because a fight can destroy the toughest heart, So the mistake I made was not being smart, And sitting here now, I see I should have left, While I still wanted to forget, I wish I would have wanted to be your little girl, Never wishing to grow up in this world, And sitting here now, time seems to run, Causing me to only wish about my want, Wanting to stop is hard, When I’ve already made it this far, And sitting here now, I’m looking back, I see what I left was a crack, When I fall into this crack at first I feel trapped, Wanting to climb out is my only attack, And sitting here now I’m finding, This crack is very reminding, Of all the times we once had, Fighting and hate was meant for the bad, And sitting here now, I want to be free, Free of what was once you and me, I think of all the things I have asked for, But it seems we are always asking for more, And sitting here now, I think, Life shouldn’t live on wants, but on needs, So I’ll continue to write as this passionate girl, A lonely girl with a want in this world, And sitting here now, I don’t know how I achieved, Wanting the one thing I'll never see.
