Colored
They say I am colored. Can someone please explain? What does it mean? My blood is red like yours and theirs, I might just have lighter or darker skin. But what do I know, you are the expert. I can converse with you. I might have just a different accent. But you can clearly understand, When I am talking. But what do I know, you are the expert. You say I am colored, What makes me different? Is it the texture of my hair? Or the pigmentation of my skin? I thought it just protects me from sunburn. But what do I know, you are the expert. What is colored? Do they look different? Or like everyone, Blessed with more or less melanin? But what do I know, you are the expert. Are we all not colored? Instead of white and black. We all have different shades of hues. Even you. But what do I know, you are the expert.
