The Legacy of Barbara P
The Legacy of Barbara P (April 23, 1948 to January 18, 2022) By Franklin A. Price (her husband) 02/04/2022 The legacy of Barbara P Not in silver or in gold But how she went throughout her life She was small but she was bold Her roots were from a mixed stock Father north and mother south She spoke with truth and knowledge When she opened up her mouth Her richness was her attitude Worked hard to find success If things attempted to go sideways Was good at cleaning up the mess She thought she was a feminist But was most of all a friend Always set a good example For the women and the men Was all of this and so much more Love and caring, did impart There was nothing fake about her What she gave came from the heart Could have lived her life without me When she said yes, I came along We went through our lives together Danced the dance, and sang the song We raised our one and only child She was all we were allowed She has daughters, that are now adults All three have made us very proud They live by her example And maybe just a bit from me They are the treasures of our lives And are her living legacy She lived her life upon her sleeve With her caring and her love We should follow her example She's now watching from above
