What Happens To Most Demons, Part I
The first sensation that he felt was a wall of real, searing pain, that lasted an eternity, until it was etched in his brain. All around him was blue fire, raining blades and forests of whips, the air was caustic miasma, each breath made his very lungs rip. The first break in his suffering, the first moment the pain turned off, was when the Devil himself came, said, “Your name will be Dezeroth. “I made you to do my bidding, a demon conceived in real sin, you’re a slave, and I’m your master, my knife in the war against Him. “But you are now far from ready, my greatness you must understand, and know what is awaiting you Ii you cross the Prince of the Damned.” And then the torture recommenced, it continued for countless years, his flesh was rent, his bones broken, Dez weeping with sulfurous tears. When what will he had was shattered, and there hadn’t been much to start, Satan returned with a dark grin, said, “Now you’re ready for your part. “Plenty of demons are in Hell punishing man’s oft-wretched souls, but I need more of you above, to destroy them and make them cold. “To prove God was wrong to make them, that they’re soiled, imperfect things, do well and you won’t return here, fail and there will be more burning.” Dez leapt at the chance to escape, and to this mission he agreed, he knew but pain, and to end this he would gladly make millions bleed. Who were they not to suffer so? It seemed to him a great insult, like they were laughing at his life, he’d bring all of that to a halt. He’d do whatever he had to, ensure that to evil they’d fall, after the aeons of torment he’d kill to feel nothing at all. And so the Devil said the world, Dezeroth felt his body shift, then rose to Earth in human form, to prey on the lost souls adrift. He found himself in a town park, with clothes, and wallet, and ID, the Devil, it seemed, had provided for a demon who did his duty. But something else struck him hard then, something that he did not expect, human bodies feel many things that the nature of Hell reject. He felt the cool rasping air, it was refreshing in his lungs, his muscles did not hurt one bit, in fact they felt quite strong, and young. And colors that he did not know now flourished right before his eyes, blue, and yellow, and green, and white, down in Hell only red survived. CONTINUES IN PART II.
