October and December Kisses
A kiss, what is the truth that it holds? My first kiss left me disappointed and I didn't know what the hype was for. I waited 17 years and I don't know how many lovers to give it away. I wasted it, my first kiss, on a boy that October day. I wasted it on a boy that wouldn't stay. But my first kiss, (my first real one) I don't think I wasted it, but gave it as a prize it caught me out of the blue caught me by surprise. It was not planned. It was not thought out. It didn't just last a second, but a minute then the minute turned into an hour or more. I don't know how many kisses landed on my lips that day, all I remember is how badly I wanted to stay, and not, no never go away. My first kiss, the one I gave as a prize the one that caught me out of the blue, the one that caught me by surprise that one I gave to a man, that December day. That was a prize I was glad to give away, and I hope that he stays.
