Someone Different Part 2
You beat and smash their hands till the bones are broken. And though they cannot hold on as tightly, they still hurt themselves just to hold onto you. They are determined, not just to "prove" that they love you; but because they truly do. And they are willing to hurt, if it means they can still have you to love. Although this person has gripped to you in a way you deemed impossible, your fear of the past overwhelms you. But then, you realize what you've done. You look at their hands & see the bones are crushed; far beyond repair. You realize the person you've pushed away & hurt for so long, is still here fighting to hold onto you. You feel terrible. "I don't deserve them," you tell yourself. They assure you it's alright. That it was all worth it. That they were okay as long as they still had you in the end. They loved you unconditionally. But you can't accept this. You can't hurt them again. So again, you begin to try to pull yourself away. Though they still hold on as best as they can, the pain in their hands is excruciating. They realize their physical grip is no longer strong enough, so while fighting to still hang on; they scream in pain and beg for you to stay. Their shrieks of pain, & pleads to stay, echo in your head. You can't stand to see them hurt anymore. You're so focused on the damage you've done, that you fail to see that simply picking them up and embracing them in return would stop their pain. You believe whole heartedly that your presence alone is enough to cause them harm. You finally decide: enough is enough. You take a rough blade, & begin to saw and hack at their wrists. They scream. They bleed. But still they hold on. It seems that even the very bones in their arms are trying not to break, just to hold onto you. You continue to saw and grind, & hack and beat at their wrists until you cut through the bones... To be continued...
