Yellow
When I was a child, the teacher came up with a nice assignment, ever so mild. She passed around to all the children a black and white outline of a heavenly angel, with no chagrin. "You are to color the angel your favorite color.", she said. as we all took out our boxes of crayons, of vibrant holler. I took my time getting started and looked around the room, and the other school kids grabbed for their reds and their blues. The teacher then started to walk around complimenting each child, as they scribbled away. It was a very nice day. I took my time, starting with a deep outline against the edges, and then with a smile on my face colored in turns and pathways to impress, as I honored the pledges Teacher eventually got to me and with a little surprise spoke against her druthers, "You aren't following the directions, you are to use your FAVORITE color! "But...", I said with my eyes looking up against a sunken face, "Yellow IS my favorite color", and I felt it was great.
