They Were Generous
I want to tell you about some people who showed me something I did not know. It's about the nature of affliction and the depths of healing to one must go. I was in a rehab center to help something I had broken mend... and of my cantankerous nature with which daily they had to contend. I thought I was the "Model" patient trying to do each task. assigned. But somewhere in those ten weeks I realized that they were being kind. I complained about the workouts, the people, the pain, and the food. While they did their best each day to see that my healing process would be short and good. I have them to thank that I will walk again without the pain I had to feel. Yet I gave them grief at every turn and showed my true nature as a "Heel". So it was for ten weeks or so, me giving them grief while they let it go. I finally came to realize that they put up with me and so much more, To them it was another workday's chore. Yes, they were Generous and I was a crank, It is them that in these few words I thank. For they showed God's love with each task every day, and for that Generosity...and for them I will always pray.
