Where Did You Go
I can't see you any more, I don't know who you are, Dating women and a new car, Flaunt new clothes and smelling your spray, Wanting my reaction but I've nothing to say, It took me a long time to build up my self worth, I understand me now, it's like a new birth, Healthy boundaries, I walked away with nothing, Can't you see, Leave me alone, I want to be me, Your control doesn't work anymore, Every bone once hurt to the core, The pain has subsided enough for me to see, You and I will never again be, Thank you for the lessons, I am much wiser because of you, I allowed myself to go through it all, A stepping stone for each fall, Your now really old, acting really young, Your pension years have just begun, It's not my problem anymore, I have firmly shut that very door.
