The Arch
Did I notice the arch The bend in me That caused the shift When did it begin When did I start manifesting it Do I even know why Why I was so desperate for a change Yes I know why Of course I do Because what I said I would never be I had fully become A mediocre shell Giving 50% of everything in my life Surprised by my own unhappiness Aware that self-actualization is my goal But too lost to fight for it Too confused to forge the path Too much into my own pity party That I missed the opportunity Missed opportunities And would continue missing them Until I took a stand And stood up for my life For my tomorrow So the arch happened And now I know it can be done Which I’ll need reminding of Realistically more than once But the shift has at least begun
