All My Wasted Words
ALL MY WASTED WORDS Have I wasted all my words, could I have done better To read once, then on reading to be a poet forgetter Did I ever really once, as hit you all between the eyes Provoke at your emotions, or fill you, with untrue lies Creep around skirting boards when I deliver the truth Become a poet of words of my own as ill spent youth Bitterness made to subside, learning to grow and live Where in my words, did I learn to let go as to forgive Couldn’t even write as a child, so, why now am I poet Spreading negativity when my mind is at its all lowest As be living, and write, in an imagination far left alone Yet my words that are mine, unique and home grown Are all my words wasted, just white space that I filled As am I not just a poet, who's words are semi-skilled While in the shadows of others, I merely stand in awe Where I then continue to defy, any form of poetic law My words as wasted on the grounds I could do better But; for the want in me, I still fail, to be, the perfecter Indiana Shaw . . . : /
