Escaping the Cats of Brenner Town
Have you been to Brenner Town this week my dog pals asked. No for I had heard it is where a brazen brigade of cats often basked. Someone asked if these meowing intruders were fully vacci-masked I agreed to take my pal Barney. We would be amply and duly flasked. We set off for Brenner Town with the utmost best of intentions. Twas was one of those places with diabolical smart inventions. We accidentally crashed an enormous cat jazz convention. And got chased out of town by cats too numerous to mention. We were barking and howling and running with all of our might. Barney was still shaking when we got to our corner streetlight. Let’s never tell the other dogs, he said. Please friend sleep tight. I could see Barney’s terrorized face after I turned out the light. There is nothing like a mean cat to cause terror in a dog. I had nightmares of cats in trench coats walking in the fog. I would rather face a grizzly or a hungry mother hog I will never return to Brenner Town down in Old Cat’s bog.
