Carolyn
CAROLYN I did not really know you; but somehow your comments about the two poems I entered in your contests stuck with me and I intuitively sensed good vibes from you. Your comment on my first gave me encouragement. Your comment on my second entry gave me delight. However, the poem I penned for your last contest “Footprints” Old or New For A Prize” was not accepted for I was one poem too late at the time I entered. How can I forget the comment you gave on my poem “How Can That Be” about my grandmother Dolores . You stated “I believe Dolores’s spirit visited you before she died (I’ve had similar premonitions.)”, how can I? A week before you passed, I saw your face a couple or a few times and I wondered about your silence, why you had not given any contest and tried to shake these thoughts off and then I heard the news about you. Your other comment on my poem “How Can That Be” was “Your entry is fascinating”. You are the fascinating one, Carolyn because you did reach me and I do not have to understand why, like your “The Unexplained” contest. We met in that contest and you reached out and drew me back in. Good bye, beautiful soul for touching me. 8/15/21 Tributes To Carolyn Poetry Contest Constance La France
