All Bark, No Bite
All Bark, No Bite Written: by Miracle Man August 2, 2021 In my younger years I was like a pit bull, I used to think I could bring some scorch. But now that my years are nearing full, I feel like a lap dog confined to the porch. Today my bark will often induce a frown, it seems like my jaws are always “flappin”. But at crunch time, when chips are down, a porch dog is unable to make things happen. With good intentions of doing what I say, I oft find myself in a self induced bind. So I delegate things for an opportune day, and “like a cows tail-I’m always behind”. When not backed up cheap is my talk, causing others to often question why? My talk should never betray my walk, but “it’s can or can’t, there is no try”. The clock has a way of changing a person, various things bring about daily stressing. Seems each sunrise I see matters worsen, but throughout my day, God keeps blessing. I sometimes ponder just why I’m still here, golden years are tarnished and appear as rust. Very little happens that brings me cheer, in adapting to this change I’m a total bust. I guess the message I’m trying to convey, (as I burn daylight reliving my past). Accept where you are and enjoy your stay, for we never know which day is our last.
