Garden Greetings Collaboration
Pete a polite gentleman from Marsden Everyday he works out in his garden While digging something did squirm Found he'd disturbed an earth worm Pete said "Sorry I do beg your pardon." The worm replied "Hello and good day" Then fast wiggled and went on its way Mouth open and in shock Pete sat on a near rock Staring down at the ground in dismay. Written by Emilia James When Pete had regained his composure He ran in to his wife and told her She said “earthworms can’t talk” “You’re having a brain storm” “ Anymore nonsense and we’re over.” Pete knew that his wife didn't believe him That she thought he was only dreaming He told her it was true Asked her what would she do She said "I'll pack a bag I'm leaving." Written by Belle Bellevue Now the Earthworm had the final say. He said "Let her do what she may." So the old hag packed her bag, she was always such a drag and Earthy Wormy moved in the next day. Written by Richard Lamoureux The earth worm thought Pete's house was huge! He only wanted to seek better refuge. So he asked Pete, "Any chance I can camp in that plant? Well, at its base. Would you really refuse!" "Of course!" Pete answered with a grin. "Now to a secret, I must let you in... There are some here too Who would love to eat you So I urge you to try to blend in!" "But how, may I ask, is this so? By the pace that I move they will know That I'm not one of them. I will hide in my den. When they find me, I'll put on a show!"
