Natures Observation Queen
NATURES OBSERVATION QUEEN Placed upon this earth; I'm sure at God’s, request This natures observation Queen is one of the best Not one colour to her singular, but, lots all abound An ant would fear her presence as heard its sound No leaf could fall, without her capturing its descent Then to depict that falling leaf, as beautifully spent Nature gathers around, filling her up with its scene It knows tomorrow it will be the food of her cuisine Each bumble bee poses, upon its own snapdragon Every bird, singing on the branches of the bracken Flowers swoon in her direction, call, remember me Recalled; not as one colour, but; a multitude so be Scents and sounds; rendered upon a paint palette Impossible you say, but; that is how great a talent So be pictured in our minds as there that very day At my feet I feel the grass in the wind it does sway Seeing rabbits running abound in their joyous play Not one bit of nature missed, or omitted, to betray A tear drop of rain falls into remnants of vivid hues Cast from a sky of thunder greys, black, and blues Of evening’s spent; on a old wooden veranda chair To the sights, every scent, and every sound aware And placed between the lines, for all of us to share Not; just as an observer, but; with a heartfelt care For all the words of nature’s beauty, so be scripted Thus remind us all to appreciate what nature gifted Evelyn . . .
