What Am I Missing
No, I haven't forgotten that my grandparents never cast a ballot. Yet, I am trying to figure out what all the voting fuss is all about. Perhaps it's the state or the county in which I reside. Or maybe I'm just too naive or too blind to see what so many others are seeing. I'm aware that these United States may well be united but they are not necessarily uniform in every aspect of our political existence. I don't want to preclude that all this 'vote talk' is much ado about nothing. No citizen in America should be denied equal access and protections to vote. I agree that certain considerations should be made for those with certain impediments. I tell you, the way that I have been voting for years, in my view, should be a model. I receive the information in the mail, followed thereafter with a 'mail in ballot'; all within plenty of time to study, notate my preferences, and return via mail by the designated timeline. In seems so simple to me, but maybe common sense has exited our home of the brave and land of the free. And if morality has broken down in the 'counting process', the problem is no longer political. If my funds disappear after a receipted bank deposit; or if my cast ballot took wings and flew away to points unknown after being cast, what recourse do I then have? If....... 072421PS
