Heavenly Whispers
beyond the ken of human race in distant stars in outer space are there whispers we do not hear in orbits of heavenly spheres? is there language we do not know? that planets speak to stars that glow? in whispers such wisdom exchanged? of how future should be managed? can planets influence our fate, fire of hell or Eden’s gate? is my birth in earthly cradle, a whisper from heaven’s saddle? does Jupiter charge intellect? or Saturn’s rings help resurrect? does Mars influence war and rage, can Venus make lover’s heart engage? does the Sun speak to other stars? can radiant whispers go far? is an eclipse just shadow thrown, or a whisper in secret blown? in our mundane lives we exist, in ignorant spheres we persist, wading way through our myths and fears, through good fortune and painful tears! right above our heavenly sky, are such whispers perhaps that fly, that ancient sages learnt to read, to guide our lives and help succeed! written 17/07/2021 Whispers poetry contest John Lawless sponsored 8 to 9 syllables each line PS count aabb rhyme
