The Mango Seller Man, There's More
THE MANGO SELLER MAN - THERE’S MORE Mango man saved his pennies, and bought a convertible car Down on Palm Beach; he had himself a cool mango juice bar No new home was sought; we just repaired the leaking roof To our continual love this blessed home was our living proof I gave him eleven children of seven daughters and four sons Everybody comes to the mango bar; we are the happy ones The kids have no shoes, but go to school in a convertible car They are the bee’s knees; their Papa owns a mango juice bar It wasn’t all about the mangoes, there was a little bit of rum Not once did our customers go back home unhappy or glum When we added iced cooled melons, with some passion fruit The increase in baby births after a visit was never in dispute Never once; did my mango seller bring me any silver, or gold He brought me so much more should this story be ever told Indiana Shaw . . .
