Broken World
Broken World When the lies were injected into the veins of innocence blue feathered quills dipped their nibs into the ink of golden stories stalked by trolls dragging their fountain tips of liquorice like shining razor blades blunt remarks stinging steel cold biting rabid ripping up the fable leaving their teeth marks embedded in the skin of it all drawing blood staining the pristine dream the ghosting ghouls tried walking straight lines down the centre of Truth’s road they failed abysmally blowflies feet forced first to walk through honey, then butter stopped in their gobsmacked tracks Rossetti goblins sold the dust swept under rugs in their idle markets criminal minds blew dust from the palms of their imprisoned hands into the faces of trust gone blind a mindmap to nowhere in their nowhere land Salvator Mundi watches the eyes of a war torn woman in the mirror the eyes remain the same cold jade cradling in her mind a baby suspended in a jar full of precious pearls wisdom, the jewels are teeth product of the wayward fey hers for the child’s without hesitation she would pay forward, for the child to keep every night and day every night and day she opens the door and shines a light with an unreadable Mona Lisa smile, tight unseen, unheard too soon to tell which way the day the sun still shines through the tears of rain the girl not lost the mother watches on day by day silently steadfast, strong removing herself bit by bit from a broken World the mouth is silenced the story stitched from the deepest velvet dark and gossamer light ultra violet breaks unanswered questions answered knowledgeably dancing between the lines written by hand tearing up the storm clouds in the heart an overflowing dam bleeding life energy sliding piquant notes along an angel’s zither from the dormant forgotten rainbow’s rays feet of angels dance singing from the promise of a baby’s crying breath the Blue Faery whispering love in hidden secrets planted for understanding in another’s world in another's day (LadyLabyrinth / 2021) for my daughter, Georgia.
