Just When You'Ve Thought You'Ve Lost Me
Just when you think you’ve lost me . . . Just when you think you’ve lost me and I’m nowhere to be found— Stop! Take a moment; look around. … Feel me in the morning when first light falls across your bed; open up your sleepy eyes and shake the cobwebs from your head. … Find me in a garden where morning grass is wet with dew; think of me as a tender blade reaching out to gently touch you. … See me as an ardent butterfly kissing an anxious flower; remember me by lingering— captured by a summer garden’s power. … See me in the orange leaves as they slowly turn to brown; think of how we tried to catch them as they lightly floated down. … See me in the first snowfall as a delicate, soft white flake; remember the hot chocolate and cookies I used to make. … See me in the first shy bud that the warmed earth is sure to bring; think of how we laughed and drank the sweetness of the first sign of Spring. And then, when the seasons have come and gone— only to begin again— Stop! Take a moment; look around, And see that I am found!
