Where Is Your Other Half
Owl Cat gave me the evil eye, and I mean good. My blood froze as I stopped where I stood. Where is your other half? I wondered but I dared not ask. If I queried, I knew Owl Cat would take me to task. Owl Cat has only appeared six times in my life. But when he does, I know there will be strife. Sometimes a bat will fly in and bite me on the mouth. I heard something swishing from a breeze kind of south. I slammed the front door, locking Owl Cat outside. He was soon sitting next to the fire, his face half as wide. Where is the other half of his body? I wondered but dared not speak. With a huge groan and a grin, the couch gave a gigantic creak. They are coming to get you, evil Owl Cat said, his half back to me. I was terrified – felt small, helpless, trapped and wee. Why do you come? I wondered. Owl Cat gave out an ugly laugh. And where in the devil’s name, Owl Cat, is your other half?
