A Moment I Knew
(Before you read, let me take through a little journey. I've written a number of pieces, "Her beauty, no season"; "Hey beautiful"; "What love is not"... these are to mention but a few. BUT THIS IS THE LAST PIECE, I will never write again, for all lyrics came from love, which by the way, is no more. Enjoy!) A moment I Knew! Life is beautiful, by its baffling nature of course, It is priceless, till death at least. For death really proves what such life was worth No, not in how memorable the funeral was, not in how luxurious the coffin was, But in how such end brings pain, because that pain is a pain of love incapable of feeling for the living. Because that pain is pain, we yet to know death feels, unless of course the dead is amongst us. Now that is the moment I knew! For we always say, ‘till death do us apart’, it’s a shame we never ask, death of life or death of love? For now, I know, a death of a life is like a light went off, boom! But of love, is a flower left unwatered. It dries to death, while life dries in death. Can you begin to imagine the pain? It’s the moment I knew, sadly! I have heard many stories, dead life haunting the living, but I’ve seen worse, see dead love, don’t haunt the other, but itself. It’s unspeakable pain. I would know because, I left it unwatered, I would know because I watched it dry, I would know because there’s a moment I knew! A moment where love like flower was abloom, where love like flower was angelic, where love like flower was cute! Oh, wait, hold on, I since been using ‘was’ for is no more. See death of life, brings pain of love incapable of feeling for the living, but death of love, perhaps it is what is meant by hell. For no moment I don’t see such death happens over and over again. For no moment, I don’t the see the flower dries out over and over again. For all sad words of tongue or pen, the saddest are these: “It might have been!” Good bye my love, I will always allow the torture of such death to haunt me till am no more. It’s the moment I knew… truly might have been yours, Zizi.
