Seen and Heard
In my lifetime, I have both seen and heard: Love and Hate War and Peace Poverty and Need Bigotry and Misery Prosperity and Greed Hope and Heartaches Honesty and Cheating Capitalism and Socialism Presidents, Good and Bad Lies and Broken Promises Hypocrisies and Atrocities Catastrophes and Scarcities Alibies and Procrastinations Catholicism And Protestantism Chaos And Riots In The Streets Communism And Totalitarianism Compromises and Contradictions False Christianity, harming and hurting The True Body of Christ helping to heal, to house, to feed, and to save humanity. And the longer I live, the more I believe that in spite of the many wounds and scares, (past and present), inflicted by Americans upon other Americans; America's system of principles and laws, it's ideas and ideals, (still progressive works in process), yet remain our way forward and the world's best hope.
