Silver Singles Date
I finally hit 70, a widow. Dating, maybe I'll get thrown a bone. I am tired of waiting and being alone. A little nervous, I couldn't wait. I primp, as I look in the mirror Wearing a new dress, hoping it's a success. I make sure my silver hair is in place And perfect eyebrows I trace. I practice a wink, a smile, a wave, A greeting, as I near the mirror. I look out the window very impatient. Finally he drives up and knocks on the door. I rush, open the door and chuckle. Wearing highwater dark pants, Orange, gray and white strip fuzzy socks, And funny yellow crocs decorated In Snoopy and Woodstock And letter charms spelling out ~Take me, I'm yours~ I told him he had the wrong address. I should have known. I'm okay on my own. I like my own company I can survive without having a man. 6/21/2021
