Real People
Some people are peppered and salted to the point where they become less real, more of a tampered toy or packaged product, God made and people packaged, poured from mold to mold. Only God can make real people, and each of us were originally designed to be a real person. However, many if not most of us are so overwhelmed with the cost of being real that we give in to conformity. People-made-people are compromisers, conformists, followers, etc. They are not bad people but more pleasing and pleasant for the plan of the program. We mortals love to mold others to fit into our desired categories of usefulness. And we like to dispose of them after being used for our desired agendas and purposes. My older brother Calvin* best fits my description of a real person. He never tried to fit into the structures and plans that others laid out for him. He was never afraid of defeat or failure and never desirous or jealous of the success or prosperity of others. He was an entrepreneur at heart, and starting a business was second nature with him. He was a free spirited, open minded person who did not seem to care much about yesterday. If Calvin was down today, sick today, or broke today, it was okay, because he believed in tomorrow. One could truly say that he believed that yesterday's leaves and limbs always prepare today's thorns to produce tomorrow's roses. Our Divine Designer builds within each of us a distinct person and soul. However, somewhere between the cradle and the grave, there's a mad jungle out there. In our massive search for meaning and survival, we love to manage and manipulate. Far too many of us get caught and pulled into this subtle web. This web trap affects our life styles and career choices. This web dethrones us of our royal simplicity, disrobes us of our uniqueness and personal creativity. It is this vicious assembly line cycle of conformity that few escape. There's an even smaller group who decides early on to never join this captivating circus. They are the real people of which I speak, and my brother Calvin was one of them. 031007PS *1948-2003
