The Rainbow's Rain Boy
I cross the sky with different colors on my skin. A blend of beauty with so much transparency. The clouds, they fill with tears that gather on the earth. And fall into the innocent eyes of a small boy. His gaze,it praises me. As many others do. Behind their eyes is a dreamy greed. For gold coins at the end of my stretch. So he climbs up the trees and conquers all the hills. Yet I’m far more than far from his reach. I’m way too close to my departure, that’s a shame. Another lucky day,my colors shine with ease. Red,blue, green, orange, violet, yellow and indigo! His arms are reaching from the towers down below. And from the mountains he has triumphed over. He’ll waste another day collecting all the tears I grow from. Watching the so called unicorns run across me freely. He’ll race me to my end for my false gold. And never reach my finished line. For I beat him everytime. All people were him once. And their hopes to win were as beautiful as me. But were gone just as fast.
