She Took Death Hard
She took death hard She gave up on living. Though hoping for a miracle She was praying for a blessing. Seemed all her future plans. Washed-out with tides that rolled away. Though her realities were unstable There were many who loved her sincerely. She was not certain yet of her choices. So, she took her own death real hard. Though her baby's name was chosen in 3rd grade Her fate was established on the Friday- That she was killed and raped. She never finished school-never birthed a child. We took her death real hard. Thoughts of her were still causing tears. As Her spirit was not calm. She could not lie peaceful in her burial plot Yet she could not leave this realm. Her work here was undone. And we cried if one mentioned her name. The lie that plucked their ego's pitch Caused responses that were high-strung. Reactions exposed on guilty sleeves. She left a list on earth unfinished. This caused her to take death hard She could not rest In her angry grave. She truly was dearly departed. Her rage enraged the gentle breeze; Til tornadoes and torrents of acid rain Poured down, thus caused the hurricanes. Wind spun roun' recklessly. Rain flooded earth and all the land. She met with other tormented souls. with each one, she and they did bond. Hate, lies and envy, had caused. Abominable acts of shame. When faith was lost, and hope was scarce. Mother nature took the blame. Nature's promises are now fulfilled. We the passionate people cried: "Oh God, you are mighty still". Retribution has hit them with revenge. Now all the restless souls can rest. and finally leave this wicked place. Peace, be unto the praise givers. We the living are now grateful. To be tendered with his mercy. We know that karma has been faithful. We who ask a silent God to speak for us. We, who have received such grievous injustice. God has spared us from the violent stream. and from the lives the deluge has claimed. Not only has the innocent died this time, But this time, has claimed the guilty too. Those who have sowed the wind. has finally reaped the whirlwind. I find no joy in other's sorrow, but find relief In my restored beliefs. Comforted that we are not alone. Restoring faith - Removing doubt, That "God's still on the throne" Sudden death, tormented flesh This time not controlled by wicked clones. We, whom they called human debris. Were left floating deliberately. Those with eyes unblinking, Tortured human flesh of hue. Can now they empathize as to why. We "take death so hard."? Be it floods or quaking grounds. or mothers with dead children... Be it be violence caused by poverty, Gossip, envy, or jealousy. Intuitively, I now sense relief... Knowing God is still in charge. as' I Know that I may one day too, take death hard.
