The Price of Freedom
A Memorial Day tradition, honoring those that have died. Their selfless, determined mission, was carried out with pride. The price of freedom is high. The cost, the loss of life. The result we justify, in times of chaos and strife. This country is forever changed. In ways that we have never seen. Laws and issues are rearranged, Is there truth somewhere in between? Are we going down the wrong road? Being led by those we shouldn't follow? The burden is now a heavy load, answers to questions, sounding hollow. Are we becoming what we don't want to be? Can we stop before it is too late? I can only speak for me, I think I will take my chances with fate. The freedom we have proudly earned, are we expected to just give it back? A government ruling all, we have learned, could cause a country major setback. Read between the lines, look and see. No arguing politics, let the hatred go. Remember what it has cost us to be free. Hold on to that and never let it go.
