My wife and I were visiting them on our vacation 2000 miles from home. We had been out riding together, and as we were pulling into our destination, she asked me in the presence of her husband, "What to you think about the use and ownership of guns?" Without hesitation I replied that I do not own a gun and have been fortunate that I have never needed one. But I added the fact that back home my neighbor owns a gun and was not shy about using it to protect his family; to which I further added, "I'm glad that he has one".
