Cicada Dance
I long for the near and distant future. Of better days and darker nights all together. Maybe I gave you too much time. And maybe too much time isn't enough for you. Sheltered by a realm void of light. I sleep while awake. Eyes open, just closed to the world. A living zombie living with patience in mind. I swear to all,I've been living under a rock. All behind closed doors and locked windows. Days, years, months, hours, time grew wings. I'm gonna grow some to keep up with it. Under this dead skin,I hold my true myself. It's been hidden for too long. Tear myself out,to leave my old self behind. Even if I'm too blind to see the world for what it is. Rip away the dirt, where I was dead inside. So you can see that I was truly alive. Dance to the voice of a million souls. Who left the husk of their hearts long ago. May it break the wind in the trees. And scale the world in and out. I won't show myself for long. So for God's sake come dance. I won't spend another 17 years waiting on you!
