Life and Death
An ominous eerie cloud, fear itself Swept in from the west on bitter cold wind Layered beneath it a frozen ice shelf All are doomed--the forecaster subtly grinned. "Flee to the east, all people who have sinned, Time to think of nobody--save yourself!" Those left behind will certainly be pinned An ominous eerie cloud, fear itself. Death will come slowly in the frozen shelf Mothers clutching babies their bodies skinned A father screaming mercy for himself Swept in from the west on bitter cold wind. Animals, too, their blood completely thinned Are shrieking in horror 'neath freezing pelf No one to help, everyone left to fend Layered beneath it a frozen ice shelf. A homeless man deserted by himself Attempting with the fleeing crowd to blend Is ruthlessly shoved behind selfish wealth All are doomed—the forecaster subtly grinned. Fleeing parents promising they will send Help to son left to perish by himself It will not come, do not expect, my friend, Armageddon is in the icy shelf An ominous eerie cloud.
