The Strong Remain
As the grass begins to green The season renews The feelings, the smells, the beauty New beginnings in full bloom Nature in all its glory Amazed, we take it all in We say there's absolutely no doubt It's all Gods blessing, not a sin The fruits we’ve received We take for granted in this life For we have a long long history We can't imagine with modern sight Nature is amazing Its a product of drought, death, and pain You see, the weak die And only the strong remain The sensitive cringe at the thought The fact that life’s not fair They say everything should be equal Even for the tortoise and the hare This world wasn't created With fairness in mind The caterpillar that perishes Provides the butterfly a new life The reality of life may be painful We choose to see what we see But the audacity of blind ignorance Increases the frailty in modernity Life's strength depends on the struggle Just as the mighty oak becomes stronger with the wind To take away the trials and tribulations Is to lose the will to live So teach a man to fish Let man flourish from the pain We are all better for it Because only the strong remain
