Act Your Age
I was and should have been old enough to know better As i was 35 + year's old at the time But on a drenched rainy day finding myself without any thing to do or keep myself entertained I and my friend grabbed a football and went out to play on the park And upon arrival finding that park awash with puddles I wishing to feel a child again Ran and dove into one of those puddles head first As only a child would for no other reason than the unbridled joy because i could And though dirty and wet as i ended up God was it worth it Hell yes Because for 1 single moment I didn't no longer feel 36 I felt i was 6 year's old again And expected to be told off by my mum when i got home God how i miss being young And why anything that makes me feel young However childish that may seem Is oh so worth being told off for Because a child doesn't mind being scolded If what they did was fun enough to warrant a telling off And why kid's say and do the funniest thing's And why grown ups are boring
