All About Rice
I am beginning to recognize that nothing is true Its all down to perception, everybody’s memory is different She asked “do you want something different for dinner tonite?” I said, “No just make some rice, its easy” She heard, “Do rice because it’s something you can’t screw up!” And we’re off, a full on argument about rice “I only said it’s easy” I said This is when a rose is not just a rose. You should know how I feel, always I’m looking for the door, looking out the window What I say next will determine how many days From now, will go by, not speaking to each other. This is where an apology will not be the right antidote For which requires a different kind of self awareness What was I thinking when I said, “…it’s easy” I’m sure there are few crimes, as well thought out.
