Forlorn Hope
A young lady and her handsome husband,                       have the world by the tail.                                               Until a wretched day appeared,                                        a car came out of nowhere and hit his truck.                    An accident no one will ever forget,                                  the loving husband lie dead on the ground.                      A young lady filled with loss and pain,                              a baby she would soon deliver.                                        With tears in her young eyes,                                      this baby girl must be left behind.                                    The papers are all signed,                                                baby girl has been adopted.                                            Many will say she was abandoned,                                  by her husband's death.                                                 Many will say she abandoned,                                          her beautiful baby girl.                                                    A wife a mother,                                                            just was not to be.                                                          Life has a way of kicking us when we are down,                but without hope we are done.    Date Written: 4/11/2021 Note: Many years ago, I knew this young lady.
