Dawn of New Hope
we are stepping out of darkness in to a new dawn.Stifling, unclean, blinding and hurtful darkness it was. Voices still linger and ring in our hearts of people who shall speak no more. Let us remember them with respect and love and let us move on. Dark days of the pandemic are coming to an end, new hope beckons! cast the skin off past let their love in our hearts last welcome hope anew There is much to be learnt from yearly seasons. Does a tree mourn the leaves lost during autumn? does the garden mourn the flowers that have wilted. See how they all bounce back with the advent of spring and fill our lives with new freshness. It is time for us all to create a brighter more hopeful future. Let us cheer the new dawn! lilting brook flows fresh buds, leaves, dress new plants again, let time heal the pain 1st Placement Written 01 April 2021 Moments of reflection Haibun poetry contest Malabika Ray Chaudhury sponsored 77 syllables 5,7,5 haiku, 77 syllables 5,7,5 syllables!
