Those waters damned up upon picturesque farm are for cattle and their plentiful young calves to drink. Not only one such farm along our route to a restaurant where we'll eat a late lunch. We passed through countryside dotted with multi-shaded green trees in early leaf, shrubs in the same stage of development, and flowers in bud or bloom. Now the male stays close only leaving to get food. He will be on a limb on the ground from the last storm, then on the birdbath, or a little farther away on the fence with a bug in his beak. spider lilies grow rain lilies' leaves emerge.... candle moth seeks light At the end of a lovely spring day.
