Should Their Souls Meet Again
The Vampire warrior laughed with youthful exuberance, as his victim sloshed through the swamp, running like a coward as he became the chase, a hunting technique developed for the Dark Race, and with impressive swiftness the vampire plunged his claws into the man's back, it was a powerful, and controlled attack, as he lifted him up into the air, the man wiggled, and squirmed, but the vampire showed no care, the man riddled with worries, and riddled with fear, only tried to escape, but that did not happen, the vampire was just amused. The man was tired and hungry as he was dropped into the swamp, he looked back and noticed the the vampire was enjoying the hunt, it was the thrill that gave life to the dead, not the blood, and never when their fed, they could do it as a pack or do it apart, it generated their cold spirit, and it fueled their cold heart. The vampire sat on a large stone over-looking the muddy water, he reached into the swamp and pulled out some food, slimy creatures he held in his hand, then he shoved them into his mouth so the human can see, there's no need to be hungry if he would only understand, the slimy creatures were good to eat, it's what warriors enjoyed while they hunt and defeat, He took so many slimy creatures about a dozen at a time, popping them into his mouth as an inviting sign, with no signs of stopping he continued to feed, it was his only warmth spot, and his only good deed, he wanted the human to eat to revitalize so the hunt could go on, instead the human stood tall, as tall as he could, took out his knife and angled it toward his chest, out went the coward, and in came the sane, out went the hunted, and took with him the shame, as he plunged the knife into his torso, wiggling for the last time, the vampire stood in total disbelief, wondering what had happened to this human who was never this bold, took out the heat from the hunt and made it cold, so he erupted with frenzied drumming on his chest that day, no humans, he thought would go out that way, he released an inhuman howl of revenge, should their souls meet again.
