The Good Old Days
If any of you ladies happen to read this...PLEASE...no hate mail -- I'm pretty sure I didn't write it!! Several thousand years ago, when people lived in caves, And men would hunt for food all day, and women were the cooks, These whiny, nagging, rocks-for-brains, disgusting bags of bones… Back before they read those stupid “womens-libby” books… Waited on their masters while they watched their favorite sport, Relaxing in their easy chairs and calmly passing gas. Today the broads are worthless, and it really torques me off, They’re either busy flapping lips, or sitting on their…“bottom.” A man gets up and goes to work at least five days a week. “Her majesty” spends half the morning plucking facial hairs. By noon, she’s done with lipstick, and it’s time for choosing clothes, And - if her husband’s home - she’ll quiz him -- (like he really cares), “Honey…do you think this dress looks best with heels or flats?” Or….“Do you like the olive blouse, or should I wear the pink?” I hate these kinds of questions almost more than I can say, And if I ever actually told her what I truly think… She’d learn how close to beatings she has come from time to time! It’s killing me to suffer through her “womens-libby” ways. I swear…if I could somehow change the way that they’ve regressed… I’d make her like they were back then -- in -- the good old days! PS: I've now got 4 new Audio-CDs - @ 4 1/2 hours each = (62 diversely varied pieces). They’re listed on EBAY - under - “Mark Stellinga Poetry” - or available by simply contacting me at -- mark@writerofbooks.com -- should those of you who enjoy listening to poems as well as reading them - and particularly those of you that travel - care to be so entertained. (We use safe and simple - PayPal) There are a bunch of my pieces on YouTube as well --- Cheers, Mark
