Pendulum
A pendulum Swings back And forth As do I On whether I am one Thing, or Another I see Myself on One side But then Also on the Other one I try to Go on one Side, but The scale Drops down I try the Other one To get the Same result I guess I Am neither One or the Other The pendulum Swings back And forth As do I On who I am, I see Myself One way, But also Another I can’t Pick out What I Am exactly I cannot Tell if I am this Or another Why can’t I just Find a Label to Put on Myself? I ask But I Realize That I Am more Complex than Mere labels I may be One thing, But I Can also Be another Or neither At all My identity Is more than Can be Defined Therefore, I identify As neither, But as Myself, Not what Others have Labeled Me as, Just me, And me Always Written on March 2, 2020
