The Sweetness of Living in a Lovely Place (Home) The days are colder here, than there. They are longer, and the light goes away too soon. The darkness of night, takes over... but I am not afraid. The stars in the heavens sparkle. One after another, like fine dancers coming to the ball. They move before the moon, chasing and leading her across the sky. I watch, and I am awed... I am quiet... I am happy. At other times... there are clouds in the distance. They can barely make it... over the great mountain, I can see from my kitchen window. Once they achieve the top, they slide down... my way... into the valley. Then they move with grace, a line of angels parading to the other side... and back up into the world above. The days pass, one into the next. I lose pieces and find them again. They are better the second time. They are sweeter, and there is more to see, details that had been overlooked... or simply forgotten in the shuffle. I pray I get to stay here... a long time. This place... this is God's small pocket. It is a tiny spot, where little things mean everything, and big things... mean nothing at all. Life is good here, and free. The air is crisp, and the "light" is bright, very, very bright! The angels... the angels, the angels!
