A Funeral For Love
I wandered between the mist of twilight and blue, there's no sleep for those who day dream, you fool! I stumbled upon a dusty path, barely lit by the deep blue sky, my heart quietly beating beneath the promised moonlight. I heard the raven's cry, it was loud and demanding, like a love without understanding. A feather was left behind, on the dusty path, It blew away as I reached a pivotal, ravening, sorrow of wrath. Why do I pursue these things that I can't have, is love a desire, was I to have? What do I hold? for they're just words that I recite, from this day forward, and for tonight. To honor a love that's already doomed, Is like picking a rose that hasn't bloomed. I look to the sky, feeling crucified, for it is I.., It was I. Joined together, then left forever. He caused the moon to cry, and the stars to turn off their lights. The raven's call can be heard, I don't believe he spoke a single, solitary, word. But I heard, yes, he was heard.
